The art of beer: Niagara Falls, March 7

Beer is a many splendored thing, by Flickr user aixcracker.
As if you needed more reasons to drink fine beer: The Art of Beer, March 7, is an easy way to enjoy dozens of hand-crafted brews for only $20, and raise money for a worthy institution.
The Niagara Arts and Cultural Center, 1201 Pine Ave., Niagara Falls, is an oasis of culture in a struggling city. The former high school, rescued by community activists, holds 70 artists’ studios, dance and music schools, two theaters and a recording studio.
This is the second year The Art of Beer will be held there, and the list of participating brewmasters is long: Flying Bison Brewing Company, High Falls Brewing Company, Buffalo Brew Pub, Pearl Street Grill & Brewery, Magic Hat, Ellicottville Brewing Company, Samuel Adams Brewing, Southern Tier Brewing Company, and Brickyard Pub & BBQ.
Not to mention more distributors, bars and restaurants, including Michael’s Restaurant, which just might be the best family restaurant in Niagara Falls.
Besides beer and food, you get a souvenir glass, and the glow of supporting a worthy cause while getting your drink on. Belly up to the bar and pay by Paypal, at the NACC, at Niagara Tradition Homebrewing Supplies (1296 Sheridan Drive, Tonawanda) or Flying Bison Brewery (491 Ontario Street, Buffalo).
